Of course – we are celebrating the New Year too: The SIMONITES New-Year Charity Event for 2018 in cooperation with BGS was for once under a totally different focus however - a come-together, meet-and-greet network and charity event – with one most important focus – to support a young and highly talented music-student with potential for more: Chiara 22.In the past, the Simonites usually gave a donation to an institution, which supports what-so-ever topic. Also this year - however was our aim to personalize such a donation not only to a concrete face, but also to a voice!
We met at the Restaurant Café Boy in Zurich – and for once on a Saturday evening! Under the title of „Mostly Soul“ was Chiara performing well known songs and surprised by a wide margin. Do you want to have a proof? Please read Benjamin’s brought-to-the-point summary of the evening:
«The New Year Charity event was a true feel-good event. The center of the attention was Chiara, a 22 year old extremely talented Swiss singer-songwriter who enchanted the audience with her voice. The evening combined a charitable cause with acoustic pleasures and rich and tasty cuisine. With her charismatic personality, Chiara won the audience over immediately and made this meet-and-greet event an evening to remember» (Benjamin Schmitt, Managing Director, Koru Nachfolge)
That one obviously liked the concept of such an other form of a New Year Event was also underpinned by the fact that over 90 guests attended – and – that the audience was so enthusiastic about Chiara’s charming performance, that one donated the stunning amount of CHF 11’240.— directly on the spot.
Not only Chiara was highly surprised and totally grateful – also we thank everybody attending this event and donating in a such nice way very much. Please note: A video of the event will be ready in due time and we will immediately post it on our website.
Therefore – there are lots of reasons to not miss the next New Year Event – in January 2019. We are already making up our mind and try to come up with a similar follow-up.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards and wishes,
Fabienne Fleury, Marc Heggemann, Marc-André Schauwecker and Caspar Ruetz
